Intro to Studio Production — CCTV Blue Studio

Curious what it actually feels like to work in a real Video Recording studio? This is your chance to find out — no experience required, no pressure to perform.

In this low-stakes, hands-on session, you'll rotate through the roles that bring a live production to life: camera, audio, switching, directing, and more. There's no script to follow and no test at the end — just a chance to try things, ask questions, and get a feel for how it all comes together.

You'll leave with a real appreciation for what goes into studio production, a few new connections in the CCTV community, and — if it clicks — a reason to come back and go deeper.

Cost: Free for CCTV members · $30 for non-members

Instructor: Lana Marks

Lana Marks is a filmmaker with a decade of experience in narrative television, working as a script supervisor on productions including "No Activity," "Moonbase 8," and "Zac and Mia." She has extensive experience in live theater production and has directed several short films, including "Don't Be A Coward," which won Best Comedy Short at the Shawna Shea Memorial Film Festival in 2023. A member of IATSE Local 161, Lana brings both professional production expertise and hands-on teaching ability to the CCTV roster.
