This isn’t your typical film study class—it's a Film-Based Book Club! Each class, we’ll focus on one film, diving into its cinematic qualities, storytelling, and impact. Whether you're a filmmaker looking to expand your network and sharpen your skills or just a movie lover eager to share your thoughts with others, Cinema Club is a space for everyone to engage, learn, and grow together.

How It Works:

• We’ll select one film each class as our central focus.
• Each session will have a rotating theme, such as specific genres, filmmaking techniques, or storytelling methods.
• You’ll watch the film on your own time and come to class ready to discuss what stood out to you!
• During class, we’ll dive into the film with activities like cinematic analysis, scene breakdowns, and “Why is this relevant?” conversations that connect the film to broader cultural or historical contexts.
• Sometimes, we’ll even recreate scenes using CCTV’s equipment, giving you a hands-on experience with the technical side of filmmaking.

Class 1: For our first session, we’ll watch a short film in class and run through all the activities in real-time, exploring the themes, techniques, and cinematic elements together. It’s the perfect opportunity to jump in and get a feel for the flow of the class!
