Want to take your community journalism skills to the next level? In this course, you will get hands-on experience covering a current issue affecting your community. Learn to research and pitch story ideas, contact multiple sources for interviews, write a draft of a 400-500 word news article, and get real-time edits from an award-winning journalist. Students should have some basic journalism knowledge from previous CCTV courses, work experience, or elsewhere.
